mmmh...merci ma soeur chérie !!

Comme à son habitude, et cette fois ne faisant pas exception à la règle, ma soeurette de mon coeur m'a envoyé des surprises avec mon colis mensuel...hihi !! et cette fois, bravant tous les dangers et les interdis douniers, elle m'envoie du bon manger de Bretagne !!!

Chic chic chic !!! j'ai pu, avec un plaisir non dissumulé et avec délectation, retrouver le goût des galettes bretonnes, des caramels au beurre salé et du Gwelou...."Gweladou", c'est ça !! *en fait connaissait pas ça :)*...Bref, en 2 jours *et avec l'aide de 2 gourmands bien sûr ;)*, la moitié de ces précieuses gourmandises ont disparues. Et pour paufiner la surprise, la recette originelle et inimitable des crèpes bretonnes, de quoi faire une bonne chandeleur par -40°C *qu'est-ce que je raconte-moi ?!, on va pas attendre si loin !!! :D*Et, non contente de m'envoyer ces petits enchantements sucrés, elle ajoute de la fleur de sel nature et au thym !!! mmmh !! dernière que je me suis empressée d'utilisée à l'occasion de la préparation d'un filet de truite saumonnée en papillotte, un régal !!

merci ma chériiiiiie !!! et pis tiens, preuve que je pense à toi, même au fin fond de l'Ontario...Tu me manques

As usual, and this time not making exception for the rule, my lovely sister sent me surprises with my monthly package hihi !! And this time, defying all the dangers and forbid them douniers, she sends to me good food of Bretagne!!!
Chic chic chic!!! I was able, with a pleasure not hidden and with an enjoyment, to find the taste of Breton biscuits, toffies with salty butter and Gwelou.... "Gweladou", it's that *in fact I didn't know that:) *... And so, in 2 days *and by means of 2 gourmands naturally ;) *, half of these invaluable delicacies disappeared. And to make the surprise perfect, the original and unique recipe of Breton Crèpes *like thin pancakes*, of which to make a good Candlemas by -40°C *what I'm telling me?! We are going not to wait so long !!!:D*
And, not satisfied to send me these small sweet delights, she adds little bags of natural and thyme flower salt !!! Mmmh!! Last one that I fussed around of used on the occasion of the preparation of salmon in papillotte, a delight!!

Thank you my chériiiiiie!!! And yours udders, proof of which I think to you, even to the fine bottom of Ontario...I miss you

Ontario_Jour-3_le retour_ben...la route :-S (Day-3_back to Montreal_so...the road :-S)

En fin d'après-midi retour sur Niagara Falls, petite balade en attendant le feu d'artifice et découverte de coin un peu curieux, mais aussi d'incontournables : Le Hard Rock Café et Le Planet Hollywood *fermé ?!*

Lundi, dernier petit tour aux chutes, tout de même, dire au revoir aux dames, incontournable photo de touristes bien sûr et pis hop, il est temps de reprendre la route, nous repassons devant Toronto bien-sûr...longue la route...la fatigue pèse un peu mais c'est sans encombres *mais de nombreuses pauses quand même* que nous arrivons sur Montreal, pile à l'heure pour rendre le véhicule...

Et voilà...3 jours, 1400km au compteur, 12-14h de trajet aller-retour, Toronto, les touristes chinois qui se pressent pour entrer dans l'ascenceur de la Tour CN *"don't push !! be quiet please" :D*, environ 1km aller-retour en l'air, le lit king-size de l'hotel, les chutes du Niagara, le Jet Board, environ 30 cartes postales envoyées et pas moins de 229 photos, ici s'achève le récit du premier périple de Sidonie O. hors de Montreal, le prochain est pour bientôt : Québec, le we du 12 juillet !!!!

Late in the afternoon back to Niagara Falls, a small walk by waiting for the fireworks and discovery of a little bit curious place, but also inescapable: the Hard rock Cafe and Planet Hollywood *closed?! *




On Monday, last small tour to the falls, all the same, to say goodbye to the ladies, inescapable tourists' photo naturally and let's go, it's time to take the road back, we drive near Toronto...long the road...The fatigue weighs little but it is without block *but lots of breaks in fact* that we arrive on Montreal, exactly on time to return the vehicle...


And here is 3 days, 1400km in the meter, 12-14h of go-back road, Toronto, the Chinese tourists who hurry to enter the ascenceur of the Tower CN * " don' t push!! Be quiet please ":D *, approximately 1km go-back in the air, the king-size bed of the hotel, Niagara Falls, The Jet Board, approximately 30 sent postcards and not less than 229 photos, here ends the narrative of the first trip of Sidonie O. outside Montreal, the fellow one is for soon: Quebec, the we of July 12th!!!!

Ontario_Jour-2_les touristes_Niagara Falls (Day-2_The tourists)

dimanche. Première chose à faire, aller voir les chutes...Au passage nous ¨admirons¨ la ville de Niagara Falls...hum, comment dire...c'est Las Vegas ici !!! *voir, moins classe, la fête foraine !!* des attractions de partout, maisons de l'horreur, tour infernale, et autant de musées aussi exentriques les uns que les autres *musée de cire des artistes et des meutriers, du Guinness des record, des lego et j'en passe*, sans parler des innombrables endroits pour remplir nos estomacs de touristes en mal de grande cuisine *du gras, du sucré...essentiellement bien sûr :)*...
Bref, cette ville est uniquement faite d'hotels et de divertissements en tout genre, pas une seule habitation coquette ou jardin tranquille *en même temps heureusement, c'est pas vivable ici avec tout le bruit que ça engendre*...bref, après une longue marche éreintante dans la foule *au moins 10 min!!!* nous les apercevons...


LES chutes du Niagara !!! d'abord les américaines *bof, sympa mais pas top :P*, puis les canadiennes, les plus impressionnantes, en fer à cheval...Nous empruntons la promenade qui les longe pour les voir de plus près...vraiment sensationnelles, c'est beau, c'est grand, c'est fort...*je fais une pause pour marquer le coup tellement c'est beau tiens !! :)*


bref, après cette première visite nous avions décidé de ne pas faire le "Maid of Mist" *fameux bateau qui se balade, blindé de monde, au bas des chutes*, par contre le Whirlpool Jet nous tentait bien...Nous, pas peur, nous aventuriers, nous préférons les sensations fortes B-)...En fait, c'est un offshore qui part de Niagara-on-the-lake, à 15 km , du lac Ontario et qui remonte jusqu'au rapides près des chutes *quand je dit près des chutes je me comprends, on les voit pas mais bon* au final + d'une heure de balade...MAIS, auparavant un équipement s'impose pour apparemment éviter d'être mouillé : surcombinaison jaune, imper jaune, gilet de suvetage rouge et chaussures(ettes?) bleues...la grande classe no ?! *et vu ce que ça protège c'est bien la peine, on était trempés !! :)* Une Gentil Animatrice nous explique aussi, le long du trajet, tout plein de trucs surement très intéressants, sur l'histoire des forts américains et anglais de part et d'autre de la rive, et sur les rapides etc...en anglais...et avec le vent, le soleil dans la figure c'est dur d'écouter *humhum :P*. Et là les descentes de rapides se succèdent, on vire dans tous les sens, un peu comme un parc d'attraction !! c'était bien le fun en tout cas, on a même eu droit à un tour gratuit !! *non, personne n'a vomi, ni n'est tombé du bateau...dommage :)*


Ensuite, retour par la ville de Niagara-on-the-lake, petit bourg bien sympa, et beaucoup, beaucoup plus calme que la ville des chutes *Niagara Falls, si y'en a qui suivent pas :P*...bref petit balade et puis direction la route des vins *si !! je promets !!* pour un petit arrêt gastronomique et achat de vin de glace local...







Le retour à l'hotel se fait dans le calme le plus complet bien évidemment... :)

Sunday. first thing to make, to go to see the falls...In the same time we can ¨admire ¨ the city of Niagara Falls hem, how to say it, it's...look like Las Vegas here!!! *even, less class, the carnival!!* attractions of everywhere, houses of the horror, infernal tower, and so many museums also eccentric some that the others *wax museum of artists and murderers, Guinness of the record museum, Lego museum and I don't tell everything!!*, without speaking about uncountable places to fill our tourists' stomaches evil of big cooking *some fat, some sweet rich food essentially naturally :)*...


In fact, this city is only made by hotels and by entertainments of all kinds, not any single pretty house or quiet garden *fortunately in fact, it's not livable here with all the noise that that engender*...

In brief, after a long tiring walk in the crowd *at least 10 min!!! :)* we perceive them...THE Niagara Falls!!! At first the American ones *bof, nice but not top :P *, then the Canadians, the most impressive, with its horseshoe appearance... We take the walk which goes along them to see them closely...really sensational, it's beautiful, it's big, it's strong ...*I make a break to mark the occasion, so it is beautiful !!*

So then, after this first visit we had decided to not make the "Maid of Mist" *famous boat which strolls, armoured by people, at the foot of the falls*, because on the other hand, Whirlpool Jet tempted us well... Us not fear, us adventurers, we prefer strong sensations B-)... In fact, it's an offshoring which leaves Niagara-on-the-lake, in 15 km, from the lake Ontario and which goes back up until rapids near the falls *when I say near the falls I mean, we don't see them but...anyway*...In the end, more than one hour of stroll...BUT, previously an equipment is imperative to apparently avoid being wet : yellow full length splash suit and yellow poncho, red life jacket and blue aqua socks...we've french classnow no?! *and seen what that protects it's well necessary lol !! we're sooo wet !! :)* ...One nice woman also explains us, along the way, any height of things, I think which was very interesting, on the story of the American and English forts on both sides of the bank, and on rapids etc....in English of course, and..with the wind, the sun in the face it's hard to listen to *humhum :P*. And there the descents of rapids succeed one another, we turn everywhere, like in an amusement park !! "C'était bien l'fun!!", we're even entitled to a free ride!! *but no, nobody vomited, or fell from the bate...what a pity !! :) *


Then, back by the city of Niagara-on-the-lake, small very nice village, and many, much more quiet than the city of the falls *Niagara Falls, if some don't follow me :P* so, little walk and then let's go to wines road *si !! I promise!! * for a small gastronomic stop and a purchase of local ice-wine...



The return to the hotel is made in the most complete peace naturally:)

Ontario_Jour-1_suite du périple_Niagara Falls (Day 1_suite of road trip_Niagara Falls)

Arrivée aux environs de 19h à Niagara Falls *oui, la ville construite autour des chutes quoi, original comme nom :)*, un peu de difficultés pour trouver l'hotel mais nous finissons par nous poser un peu *enfin, surtout le papa de Constance qui a tout de même conduit tout le trajet, chapeau !!, moi, j'ai super bien dormi par contre :)*...

Et puis c'est décidé, nous nous offrons un repas bien mérité *enfin ¨nous¨, je me comprends :), vous non ?!, po grave en fait c'est une blague secrète :P* au The Keg, le temple de la viande, la caverne d'Ali Baba du steak !!! Chez eux, le terme ¨fondre dans la bouche¨ prends tout son sens *du boeuf, du boeuf !!!*...mmmh, pour ma part un FILET MIGNON AU BLEU je cite : ¨Notre filet mignon enrobé de bacon fumé au bois de pommier et grillé à votre goût, recouvert de fromage bleu doré au four et garni de gousses d’ail rôties.¨ *oui, je sais, c'est pas gentil de ma part de vous faire saliver comme ça...mais...je peux pas m'en empêcher en fait ;P*

Ensuite, malgré notre envie profonde et déterminée d'aller voir les chutes de nuit, nous nous sommes vus contraints de rentrer à l'hotel, une pluie battante s'étant abattue sur la ville *c'est vraiment dommage ça...:P*

La magie des chutes aura donc été pour le lendemain...

Arrived near of 7 pm at Niagara Falls *yep, the city built near the falls, what an original name :) *, a few difficulties to find the hotel but we can rest a little *in fact, especially Constance father who drove all the road, congratulation!! However, I slept very well :)*...

And then it's decided, we offer ourselves a well deserved dinner *in fact ¨us¨, I understand myself :), you not?! It doesn't matter, in fact it's a private joke :P* at The Keg, temple of the meat, the Aladdin's cave of the beefsteak !!! There, the term ¨melt in the mouth¨ take all its sense *some ox, some ox !!! * mmmh, for me, a bleu cheese filet, I quote : ¨Our filet mignon wrapped in applewood smoked bacon and grilled to your liking. Covered in a Bleu cheese crust, served golden brown and sprinkled with roasted garlic cloves.¨ *Yes, I know, it's like so cruel from my part, to make you salivate like that but...I can't refrain from it in fact ; P*

Then, in spite of our deep and determined envy to go to see the falls by night, we're obliged to return to the hotel, a beating rain fell on the city *that's really pity...:P*

So the magic of the falls will thus have been for the next day...

Ontario_ Jour-1_début du périple_Toronto (Day1_begining of road trip)

hop hop hop !! il est 7h30 et nous sommes...sur la route pour aller chercher la petite auto louée pour notre premier voyage : direction ...l'Ontario *au cas où, c'est là où y'a Toronto, les chutes du Niagara et Ottawa, la capitale*...

Première surprise, nous sommes surclassés, et à la place d'un petite urbaine nous héritons d'un mini-van de 7 places...ça fait plaisir, on a la place de s'étaler...*le truc à droite c'était mon tableau de réglage de clim, perso :)*




et c'est sans se tromper de route que nous avons pris la route en direction de Toronto...5h de double voie toute droite...mais vraiment toute droite...Ils sont fous ces canadiens !!!

Sans encombres donc nous arrivons vers 14h à Toronto, après un arrêt pr manger, avec les mouettes *c'est pire que les pigeons ces bestioles, tout comme dans Nemo "amoah amoah!!"*...





Et là, grosse surprise, la ville est totalement différente de Montreal, nettement plus...américaine, avec de hauts gratte-ciel, d'ailleurs, c'est à cause de ça qu'ils ont construits l'objet de notre première visite : la tour CN *ou CN tower, et ui ils sont tous anglophones là-bas, c'est...ardu :)*...






Et oui tous les immeubles étaient hauts et du coup ils ne captaient plus d'onde radio, ils ont donc décidé de construire cette antenne gigantesque *la plus haute tour du monde tout de même, respect* afin de palier à ces difficultés de communication *bon ensuite ils se sont dis que ça leur ferait des sous de la faire visiter du coup ils ont arrangé tout ça pour le public les petits malins !!*...à notre grand bonheur quand même parce que c'est bien sympa à faire, monter à 446 puis 450m et marcher sur un plancher de verre...sensation garantie !!!


Et voilà, après un tit film sur l'histoire de la dame, simulateur d'usine d'arbres *ne cherchez pas le rapport, en fait y'en a pas du tout :)*, visite des plate-formes de la tour, nous reprenons la route, direction Niagara Falls, non sans un tit tour dans les rues de Toronto, en voiture...mais promis là prochaine fois ça sera à pieds !! :)

Hop hop hop!!It's 7:30 am and we're...on the road to fetch the small automobile rented for our first trip : let's go to Ontario *in case, it's there where's Toronto, Niagara Falls and Ottawa, the capitale*...first surprise, we're outstripped, and instead of one urban car, we inherit from a mini-van of 7 places !!! nice !, we've the place to spread out...




And it's without making a mistake about the way to take that we set off in the direction of Toronto...5 hours of double sees road, all straight...but really all straight... These Canadians are crazy !!!

Without any problem, we arrive at about 2 pm to Toronto, after a break to eat, with gulls *it's worse than the pigeons these tiny creatures, quite as in Nemo "amoah amoah!! " *...

And there...big surprise, the city is totally different from Montreal, sharply more American, with high skyscrapers, moreover, it's because of that that they built the object of our first visit: la tour CN *or CN tower, yep, they're all English speakers over there, it's difficult :)*... In fact, all the buildings were high so they didn't got any radio waves , they thus decided to build this gigantic antenna *the highest tour in the world now, respect* to landing in these difficulties of communication *so, then they think that it would make for them money to make it visit, so they arranged all this for the public the little scamps !!* in our big happiness of course because it is very nice to make, to rise to 446 then 450m and to walk on a glass floor, guaranteed sensation!!!

And here we're, after a little film on the story of the lady, the simulator of trees factory *don't look for the relationship with the tower, in fact it's there in no way:)*, visit platforms of the tower, we take back the road, direction : the Niagara Falls, not without a little tour in the streets of Toronto...by car but I swear, there next time will be by feet!! :)
